Another day, another interview as a #freshgrad

~Day 29 of being a fresh grad~

Today I had an interview for a reputable fashion editorial dept., which was (of course) granted because I am lucky enough to know a friend of a friend. #privilegepoints

I knew going into it that it would be an unpaid position, but despite my £50k of student loan debt was considering the option of volunteering my time in exchange for meeting new contacts (yes, grad life really IS that bleak, even with a First Class Honours degree from Central Saint Martins…) Well, they made sure to shift the tone of the conversation quickly, making it clear that (a) this was nothing of the sort, not volunteer or work experience (b) they were doing ME a favour by gracing me with their presence and (c) they were serious (read: pretentious) Fashion Journalists. This “prestigious” internship is meant to be full time (with “oh-so gracious” exceptions for those that need to work another job to, well, pay the rent, offers me (a graduate) no school credit and is unpaid other than Zone 1 travel expenses for a minimum of three months.

The best part is you know the director (a famous photog) ain’t slummin’ it while his platoon of unpaid interns keep his side business afloat!

GIT Movie 2017: Your fear on #BothSides will be unleashed

Well, now I understand why people are so scared of clowns!

Inspired by that report that a Juggalo March is coinciding with yet another alt right march (MOAR this time)..

I do eagerly await to watch this new Barmy & Buffoonery Circus. After all, live entertainment is always better than Netflix. Clowns and Nazis and Cheetohs, oh my! Come on avid marchers, let’s make this show the greatest one on Earth again.

Inspired by Stephen King’s book, the GIT Movie Show premiers on streets everywhere in Washington, DC, on 16 September.

#tbt The shock when past hyperbole becomes reality…

I know it’s Wednesday but I wanna #tbt to an image I made about a month ago, which was, well, supposed to be hyperbolic… I guess this is how the creators of Idiocracy feel.

See the original #freshgrad post here, a response to this.

Despite my Millennial status I can’t even begin to turn this post into something #funny or #relatable or #ironic, because stuff like this is chilling.

On the bright (orange) side, the more idiotic and repugnant this All-American Cheetoh makes himself look, the less “centrists” or anyone scared of having too strong an opinion will be able to support him. (I hope?)

Well now my polarised home country is possibly in the beginnings of a Civil War – not to mention a standoff with North Korea – so I guess the Trump presidency so far is everything us liberal creative types feared.
